When Rolex launched the Tudor brand in 1945, they strongly intended that the public perception of its quality had to equal that of Rolex. To achieve this lofty aim, until the mid-1990's, Tudor watches featured Rolex cases and crowns, and, until 1971, Rolex bracelets.

It's so-called "Big rose" dial with distinctive dart sharped markers is wonderful.
Patterned after the Rolex Oyster Perpetual, one of the company's staple and respected models, it possessed the same features and conception - it was thinner and a bit more affordable than its Rolex sibling and shared the same diameter.
Our Oyster Prince has all of its original parts. It has just finished a true expertly done sympathetic restoration and presents as 9.7 out of 10.
Its original Rolex Oyster case presents in mint condition with fabulous beefy lugs that show hardly any sign of ever being previously polished. Its original dial has been meticulously restored - the printing could pass as Rolex factory done to the naked eye.
As part of the restoration the movement has been overhauled. It continues to run true, keeping a daily rate on par with a new Tudor in our testing recording position.
For the finishing touch we have equipped it with a brand new leather strap and aftermarket Rolex style buckle and meticulously detailed it making it ready for immediate enjoyment.
