At the time it was made, before the introduction of the Santos 100, we believe it was the largest size Santos. While not an especially large watch, it is larger than the rest of Cartier's similar watches from the era, measuring 36mm including the guards.
Unlike the quartz version of the Santos, this more desirable mechanical example possesses an automatic movement and in a way showcases the timeless art of traditional watchmaking.
The watch presents in gorgeous condition - it presents about a 9.6 out of 10. On the wrist it presents as virtually like new.
Our watchmaker has just fully disassembled the watch down to its last screw and cleaned and oiled its Cartier movement and replaced the waterproofing seals with new genuine Cartier gaskets. It is keeping very accurate time.
For the finishing touch it has been meticulously detailed making it ready for immediate enjoyment.
Accompanying it is an original Cartier box.
Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate attesting to its performance.
