The difference between the standard 200 meter Water Resistant Dive Watch and a true professional Dive Watch capable of deep depth diving is monumental. The stress and pressure on the watch at 500 meters will destroy an average watch. Water pressure is 743psi and that affects the crystal, case, bezel and every seal.
Building a watch that can return to the surface from that depth is an even bigger challenge. Internal pressure will pop a crystal off the watch with obvious damage to the crystal and case. The seals may also break or leak due to helium gas buildup. In addition to an extra strong design a helium release value is necessary.
Traser has decided to build such a watch combining their self-powered Trigalight technology into a true professional diving watch. The P67 Super-Sub series is the result. If there is a finer quality Professional Dive Watch build by any company at any price, we are not aware of it!
What is Trigalight™?
Trigalight™ is Traser's own self-powered lighting system that utilizes Tritium Gas in glass tubes where it reacts with luminous paint, creating a light source that will glow without recharging for 25 years or more.
Unlike conventional Luminous Paint, Trigalight™ will not dim during the night. It will be every bit as bright at 4 in the morning as it was the previous night at 8 pm. Traser's Trigalight™ tubes have a 10 year Limited Warranty to glow brightly and provide good nighttime visibility for at least ten full years.
Most Trigalight™ tubes (including those found in most competitor's watches) are rated at T25 (based on the amount of Tritium used in the tubes). T100 Trigalight™ is 4 times brighter than conventional T25 Tritium tubes.
